On December 5, 2013 our #1 hunter and tractor driver transitioned from earth to his heavenly kingdom after a lengthy illness. Billie G. will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We will especially miss his time sitting on the back deck of the ranch house holding court about his life experiences and how important it was to "work the earth". Now he is in a place where he will never run out of diesel or pecan orchards to mow. We miss him greatly and will cherish our memories forever. Texas LG2 will never be the same.

Great post, Mark. The ranch won't be the same without our hunter/landscaper. I'm also gonna add an In Memoriam post that remains on the side for all to see. Perhaps a photo with him on the tractor.
Dad that was a perfect memoir to Grandfather. I was wondering if you may write something on here honoring the first "G" in the "LG^2". It will always be our duty as kids, parents, grandparents to instill in our children the importance of the outdoors and the family you share it with. Grandfather will never be forgotten. I could never sit in a deer blind again without thinking of who it all started with. May he enjoy looking down at us,bless us with straight shots, and provide plenty of fields to be mowed! He will live in our hearts forever, and always be missed.
Beautifully written, Mark! Your dad was a great man and will be sorely missed, but he is standing tall & healthy once more enjoying his "Welcome Home" party with Jesus and loved ones! As I told you at his funeral, you are a living testament to his greatness because you too are a great man, son, brother, father, and grandfather. Please squeeze Elsie and Dina for me!!! Love you all, Kim
